HI! My Name is Anthony "2Stonii" Corona. Bush Doctor is the third studio album by Jamaican reggae singer Peter Tosh. It was released in 1978 on Rolling Stones Records. The album features Mick Jagger as guest vocalist on one song, while Keith Richards plays guitar on two tracks. The rhythm section featured Sly and Robbie.[1]
The title track is credited often for spreading the term worldwide. The whole album is also still as relevant now as when released!
Some things we have made progress on since 1978, some others we still work to do.
South Africa
South Africa's history of diverse traditional medical practices gives rise to an emergent bush ethnomedicine in the Western Cape, where the consumption, trade and sale of herbs are dominated by Rastas. Rastafari, a sociopolitical movement and eco-religion, is combined with Khoisan healing tradition to synthesize an alternative lifestyle to dysfunctional township realities. Bush doctors lead this syncretic movement by gathering knowledge of medicinal plants from community elders. Local plant materials are collected to provide affordable medicines to the disadvantaged. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with a third of the estimated 200 bush doctors during 2006–2010. This homogenous group of middle-aged coloured urban males have transformed from gangsters to herbalists with a stated mission “to heal all people.” To the mixed race coloured community, who rejected their Khoisan indigenous ancestry during apartheid, bush medicine reasserts indigenous rights to resources, instills pride in coloured traditions and reclaims positive male roles. Rasta bush doctors employ indigenous healing methods as a method of legitimizing this historically marginalized community. Bush medicine presents a racially equitable socialist platform for health care within the shifting racial milieu in a post-apartheid South Africa.

A trip through the Galaxy, showing relative movement, and the planet's paths over time. FULL STORY: http://www.djsadhu.com/research/solar...
Notes & comments on this video The Milky Way - The Milky Way itself travels through space at appr. 600 km/s - The image used for texturing the Milky Way is NOT a picture of the Milky Way. There are no pictures of the outside of the Milky Way. - There could either be a black hole or a central sun in the center of the Milky Way. I went with the texture image and made it shine. - A complete revolution around the galaxy takes 226 million years - Do not confuse the Galactic Plane with the Galactic Equator: the Sun never "crosses" the Galactic Equator because the Sun is always on the Galactic Equator, by definition. Precession cycle - One precession cycle takes 25,920 years - Since one revolution takes 226 mln years, this would mean that there are appr. 8692 precessional cycles in one revolution. In this animation there are only 60. Scale & distance - the Sun is 109 times bigger than the Earth. If this animation was to scale, the planets would be invisible. - Our Solar System should be a gazillion times smaller compared to the Milky Way. If this animation was to scale, you could not see the Solar System, the Sun or any of the planets. - The software used to create this animation is unable to work with extreme sizes and distances. You can’t walk another person’s path. You can point out stumbling blocks or say that a path wasn’t right for you, but that’s about it.
Sometimes you think a situation is overwhelming and unconquerable because of weakness in yourself or others, when you really just need a sandwich and a nap.
Doing the same thing over again and expecting the same result is just as dangerous as expecting a different result. They're both crazy. Times change.
All prayers are answered. Sometimes the answer is no. The Universe isn’t a wishing well, it’s more like a slot machine.
Sometimes we have to choose between being seen as right and being happy. Rather be happy and let them be wrong.
If one person has a problem with you it’s probably their problem. If more than one person has the same problem with you…it might be your problem.
Our world is becoming increasingly polarized, and it can often feel counterproductive to engage in conversation.
However, while conversations can drive us apart, they can also bring us closer together. By reframing our conversations as something we’re doing to reach a shared understanding, we have a much better chance of actually doing so.
We don’t always have to agree, but it’s important that we treat each other with respect and act in good faith.
You can use this website in a number of ways:
When someone confirms their agreement using the button on their project site, they’ll be sent an email with a timestamp and a shareable confirmation link so that everyone knows we’re on the same good-faith conversational page.
